Drawing inspiration from I’m Just A Bill, Raise Your Hand Texas asked C2C Media if they could recreate the original School House Rock classic with a different narrative in mind. The hope was to bring awareness to the ongoing effort to inject vouchers into the public school systems of Texas. With a mix of animation, some well-timed humor and solid voice-over talent, the final product was a rousing success. Featured across the state on blogs and social media sites, as well as prominently displayed across most of the Texas Tribune’s digital presence, the “Same Ol’ Voucher” campaign was one of the most talked about videos of the 2015 Session. It also took home four Bronze Tellys across multiple categories, including Campaign Advertising, Political Commentary, Use of Animation and Animation.
